KYC at Profila
KYC is only for ZKT purchasers and the ZKT referral program
Only people who are interested in buying zero knowledge tokens from Profila GmbH during the ZKT token sale as explained on our website https://ico.profila.com and/or who participate in our referral program, are required to pass the KYC/AML onboarding platform by our partner Altcoinomy SA (hereafter, the “ZKT Onboarding Process”).
KYC Explained
At Profila, Know Your Customer, or KYC is the process of identity verification to ascertain that the person speaking to us is really who she/he says they are. AML, or anti-money laundering, is the process to verify the origins of the funds and identity of the individual or company interested in investing, to make sure the funds invested are e.g., not obtained from illegal activities, or linked to money laundering in any way.
How does it work? The identity of the potential investor is determined by submitting ID documentation (Passport, National ID) to an automated platform. This is similar to the KYC process needed when opening up a trading account on a major exchange like Binance, for example.
Depending on your country of residence/nationality, and whether you are an individual or a legal entity, you will fall into on of the 4 categories below (A-D) and will be able to provide certain (i) information (ii) digital documents and (iii) take certain actions (e.g., a video conference).
